PDF version 17th Annual On Property Bull Sale Catalogue
Ivan Price, Moongool Charolais Stud, Yuleba, with the $55,000 sale topping Moongool Currajong purchased by David Whitechurch, 4 Ways Charolais Stud, Black Mountain, NSW (second from right) and agents Michael Jackson, Jackson Livestock, Guyra and Landmark stud stock auctioneer Peter Brazier. The Price families Moongool Charolais Stud reached a milestone on Monday when their bull Moongool Currajong broke the $50,000 mark at their annual on property sale held on Monday. Selling as the second lot, Currajong attracted the attention of several potential purchasers before Landmark auctioneer Peter Brazier dropped the hammer the way of David Whitechurch, 4 Ways Charolais Stud, Black Mountain, NSW, for $55,000.
The son of Mixhill Yang Ferdinand R/F was the heaviest bull in the draft weighing 1025kg with an EMA of 143sq/cm and a fat scan of 13 and 10mm at 24 months.
The bull will be used in Mr Whitechurch´s stud program where he has 100 registered females.
"I really liked his softness, depth and muscularity," Mr Whitechurch commented after the sale.
The sale was attended by both stud and commercial producers and was solid throughout the draft with a 91pc clearance.
